The Center for Science and Theology of the Institute for Fundamental Studies of Science and Technology at Shahid Beheshti University has so far published 2 calls for support for researchers.
According to the Center for Science and Theology of Shahid Beheshti University, the Center for Science and Theology of the Institute for Fundamental Studies of Science and Technology of Shahid Beheshti University launched the first call in February 2020 and the second call in February 2021 to support researchers in science and theology in the following areas:
a) Physical sciences, related technologies, and theology;
b) Biological sciences and technologies and theology;
c) Cognitive sciences, related technologies, and theology;
(d) Social Sciences, Humanities and Theology;
e) General topics of science and theology;
It was announced that 26 research projects were submitted to the Center’s Secretariat in the first call and 50 in the second call. After reviewing the research proposals by the Center’s specialized committee, 8 proposals from the first call and 6 proposals from the second call were deemed worthy of receiving support from the Center. The information on these projects is listed in the tables below.
The purpose of this program was to strive to better understand the relationship between science and theology, especially the relationship between science and Islamic theology, through conducting distinguished research and also promoting exploration of the relationship between science and theology in the public domain.
